Our Post, which is open to the public, features a full-service bar and hosts dinners periodically on Wednesday nights, Car shows on Thursday night during the summer, and Friday dances throughout the month.

Please stop by and join us.

The Post is also available for rental and can accommodate up to 140 people with a private 1200 sq. ft. room and overflow into the Club Room as capacity allows. The bar is available during rentals as well.

Awards & Meal Night – Pork Loin

We will be awarding the continuing education scholarships from the Post and Auxiliary 9662, and Auxiliary Illustrating America Art contest award before dinner.
Awards will be presented starting at 5:45pm.
And dinner starting at 6pm.

Day of Service

Looking for something to do on Saturday, May 4th? Join Horses Helping Heroes and VFW Post 12208 – Timothy Brandon Lay at 9 am for the VFW Day of Service. Volunteers will clear vegetation and brush for the new challenge trail course dedicated to Marine Sargeant Timothy Brandon Lay.

17th annual Vietnam Veterans recognition day

All Iowa Veterans that are available have been invited to attend the 17th Annual Vietnam Veterans Recognition Day at the Capitol on May 14th. This year is the 40th Anniversary of the Memorial’s dedication. Attached is the press release. Attendees are asked to arrive at the Vietnam Veterans War Memorial on the south side of the Capitol building at 10:30-10:45.
